Wellbeing Reflection. 09/07/21

What was my highlight of term 2?

My highlight of term 2 would have to be getting 14 credits. I got 4 in Making A Difference, and 10 in Tech Challenge. In Making A Difference we had to do a social justice issue that we were passionate about and do an essay. We had 3 weeks to do this. In Tech Challenge, I did 2 standards. 1 was making a chatbot and the other was to gather evidence and explain how the chatbot worked, and how each bit of code worked. I was one of the only people in the class that did both standards.

Why was it my highlight?

This would be a highlight because it means that next year when I need credits it will be easier and less stressful because I will only need 66 more instead of 80. I think that it will make the transition from year 10 to 11 easier.

was there something that did not work out for me?

Something that did not work out very well is the work in FINV02. In that class, they have not much work and we get that finished in a few days, or we get tons of work that then they extend to be 2 weeks and we get it extended. They should have had 2 - 3 science and then 2 - 3 math tasks per week. This class is also very unorganised which does not help with the workload.

FINV02 - LAB

This week in FINV02 we went into the lab to do an experiment called Detecting hydrogen / Creating mini-explosion.

For this experiment, we had to get a piece of MG  and we had to put that in a test tube with some HCL.

Once they were mixed we had to get a bigger test tube and put that over the top and wait for about 2 - 3 minutes for the gas to go in the bigger test tube. Once there was enough gas in the big test tube, we got a stick and got a

bunsen burner and put the end of the stick on fire. Then we had to take the large test tube away from the smaller test tube

and hold it on a bit of a small angle and then we got the stick on fire and put that in the large test tube and if it workes then ut would create a bang. This took us a few tries to do, but once we worked out what angle we had to put the test tube on to get the stick in there it was fine. We did it about 3 times Successfully and then we had to pack up.
